CAMPGROUND RULES & REGULATIONS

​

  • Check-in is between 4 – 8 PM. Please check-in at the welcome station to the right of the base of the main camp entrance stairs. There will be a camp map with your name written on your rental tent as well as other important information. You may self check-in after hours. 

  • No personal cooking using BBQ’s, camp stoves, etc. is allowed. You are welcome to bring snacks and pre-cooked food and drinks in ice chests or visit a local eatery. 

  • No pets are allowed at our campground. 

  • All tent sites are walk-in only. Hand carts are available to help move your gear from your vehicle, down a ramp and to your tent. •

  • All trucks, vans or vehicles with rooftop tents, small RVs and trailers 30 feet and shorter are welcome to be parked in our parking lot, with advance notice. Hook-ups are not available. Generators prohibited after 10 PM. 

  • Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 7 AM. Please be respectful of your neighbors who also want to enjoy their vacation. Turn off amplified music and keep noise levels to a minimum. 

  • Leave your valuables at home or lock them in your car when you are away from camp. EarthTrek/OARS cannot be responsible for theft, loss, or damage to your belongings. Car keys can be locked up while you’re on the river. 

  • Flashlights, lanterns (no gas powered lanterns allowed) and/or headlamps are a necessity. There is no electricity in rental tents. If you have a medical need for electricity (CPAP machine, etc.), an extension cord can be brought to your tent to supply power. Please notify us in advance. 

  • No smoking/vaping allowed in or around tents, restrooms, kitchen facilities, dining areas, or other highly trafficked areas. 

  • Due to high fire danger, wood campfires are only permitted at the discretion of OARS at EarthTrek staff which adheres to local fire restrictions/ recommendations. 

  • Do not remove or switch sleeping pads from tent rental beds. If you have an issue with your sleeping pad, please notify EarthTrek staff and we will supply you with a different pad. If you have a back issue or are concerned about sleeping on our mattress pads, please contact us to discuss. 

  • Do not remove chairs from river tent decks or put them in the river.

  • Please bring your own camp chairs to use outside of your tent. 

  • No riding of bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. within the campground. 

  • Hot showers and changing rooms are available for use during your stay. Please bring your own towel and toiletries. 

  •  If you plan on having non-OARS/EarthTrek guests stop by to visit, please notify us in advance for approval. 

  • We reserve the right to assign specific tent rentals on the basis of departure and arrival dates, group size, and special needs, although we will take requests for specific tents into consideration. 

  • Please dispose of your trash in trash cans located throughout camp. Use recycling stations/bins for plastic bottles, glass, aluminum, and cardboard. 

  • If renting a river tent, please be mindful of the location of personal items and trash and help prevent these items from making their way into the river.

  • Do not leave empty drink containers, food wrappers, or other lightweight items on the deck since they could blow away into the river.
